Thanks for sharing with your heart. I know people that get into something like A COURSE IN MIRACLES, don't always feel the Love at first. This is because there is a need to clear out some of the old thought patterns they carry around. Through forgiveness, love and sharing with others in the group this process can move at the speed of light. I believe the reason you feel it soo deeply is you share so deeply.

A Course In Miracles has changed my life through the daily applications of the workbook lessons in incredible ways. Once I commited to allowing myself the blessings from the Course lessons in my life daily, my heart was opened up to the comfort and peace of GOD's love more and more often, until now I find that I am inviting God to be with me in most all my decisions. I have every hope and expectation that I am on my way to the best rest of my life now, filled with Joy and excitment of all the wonderful Miracles I find in front of me day in and day out...Thanks to you Gene for being such and wonderful teacher and not giving up on me when I was covered in darkness with only a tiny bit of light. I am grateful to all of the Nashville, TN ACIM class for caring and sharing love with me at a time when I could feel very little.

Much appreciation and love to everyone I had the pleasure to journey with.

Feels like I know you because of all the different paths you tried, a true seeker, just like me. Don't know who Julie is but she is lucky to have a person like yourself to share a different, and more loving, view of spiritual laws. Thanks for your comments about the beautiful website. I really can't take credit for that one as I have two dear friends, Victoria and Kenya, who take care of that for me.

Thanks for taking the time to write your comments. Love the part that says "You can't love if you don't love yourself." That is what forgiveness is, loving yourself so you have something to give others. Also thank you for the email you sent to me personally, I will reply to that one via my personal email.

Gene, beautiful website! Hi Julie if I may share my thoughts. A Course In Miracles is New Age in the sense we know and feel the Love of God and Jesus Christ we have no fear. Over the years I have studied many paths from Wiccan to Muslim, I wanted to learn, I always knew where my mind and heart were though. Ultimately there is One God, One Jesus, One Holy Spirit, it is the motions people go through which makes our paths different. Faith has the same definition regardless. I was raised strict Southern Baptist, I knew at any minute God was going to strike me down and hang me up. At 13 a Preacher at Vacation Bible School Camp called my mother to come get me. I asked too many questions and he said I disrespected his word. I was confused in the way he was teaching/preaching. I was use to my Grandfather's way. Anyway, no disrespect intended, my feeling is God did not kill Jesus as we see in The Course, Jesus achieved the ultimate Atonement for our mistakes - The Course teaches there is no sin, Gene correct me if I am wrong. The Course is New Age in the sense we are learning to utilize the gift of our minds to overcome the ego, to know we are loved and have the ability to love regardless. There is a song I love, one line in that song is "you cannot love if you do not love yourself" I believe by Amy Grant. A Course In Miracles teaches us just that. I agree your friend is correct in the respect ACIM is New Age, please read the definition of New Age:

We are listening to ourselves and not basing our belief on man-made belief. We are learning from the authority, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. My Grandfather was a preacher he would say I am a man, I teach of Gods word, this is my belief. This was back in the late 70's, early 80's, he preached of love and respect for our brothers. I feel now he was introduced to ACIM. Since this wonderful gift came into my life I hear my Grandfather sometimes when I am studying. ACIM is infectious as is love, your friend will realize the truth in this as you grow Julie, you need do nothing.

Your friend is correct. The teaching of the Course will vary greatly when you compare it to the view of Jesus died for our sins, God killed him because we were bad and the only way to get back to Heaven is through Jesus. Once again your friend is correct. You are not hear to change your friends' mind but to love your friend where ever he/she is on their spiritual journey.
The view that Jesus would have you see through the Course shows us we are his equal, we cannot sin, God is ony Love and the way to remember who we are is through the removal of our ego thought system with Jesus's help.

A friend of mine thinks that ACIM is teaching some kind of new age Christ and we are forgetting all the "old and real" teachings of the Bible. What is your comment to that? Julie
